Assaggio

Ok, first place we went to was Assaggio's about a year ago and since have been there 2 more times. This place was great, a good one for a first date.. or any date really. Its cozy, romantic, charming and the food was great. Well, here is my review.

Overall Score- 481/500

Atmosphere- 95/100

The atmosphere in this place is really great. If you can, get seated downstairs in there basement. They had the walls converted into this fake stone look with the ivy draped around. Nice dimmed lighting and cozy environment. Only slight downfall on the downstairs is its just a little to cozy and tight of space, BUT worth the experience.

Food- 93/100

So far of what I have eaten its nothing out of this world...so far. The food was great, dont get me wrong and the choices werent to bad either. I would suggest the veal/chicken parm, its so far the best we've eaten. They serve complementary bread and oil cheese mix before your meal, which is 10/10 good, just have the problem of eating to much of it and cant eat your dinner! There wine is great, get the house red! One more note of interest, there ice water is the BEST water ever, very clean and fresh, make sure you take your time to notice. One down thing that I myself didnt like was they didnt have or serve iced tea, which I love. I guess they want you to drink wine, etc. Meh.

Service- 99/100

Nothing to fault here, so far we've gotten friendly, fast and on par service.

Cleanliness- 99/100

Plates, silverware and table all clean. Nothing to fault here. Bathrooms are unknown, as I didn't visit them as of yet.

Price- 95/100

About what you are going to find at such a place in the North End.
$16-25 a plate, Appetizers around 6-15$ depending. Not bad at all for what you get.

Overall this place is great and you will find your self going here more then once.

Please leave a note if you have gone here and wanted something added. :)
