Dolce Vita

This is our most recent place to visit, just a few days ago. We went when the Celtics were about to win the Championship and couldnt find any bars near the garden that had room. So we walked over to the North End and found this gem. We were looking for a place that had a bar and TV showing the game, and as we walked past the big open air windows, trying to decide if we should go in when the owner, an older Italian man yelled to us, "You hungry? Come in, come in!" Well, that did it. We went inside and found a delightful cozy place. The owner of the place, Franco Graceffa, was a very friendly man, and I wish I could see more owners like him moving about the floor.

Well, lets get to the review. Overall - 487/500

Atmosphere- 95/100

Smallish restaurant but cozy with a clean feeling about it. Big open windows that let in a nice breeze and makes it easier to people watch. The decor wasnt overly done, like some you would find, nice and simple.

Food- 96/100

I thought the food was great. They served pre-dinner bread/butter with a small bowl of olives. We got the chicken/veal parm, was awesome, we both cleaned our plates. Since we were trying to draw out our dinner so we could watch more of the game, we ordered dessert and cappuccino. Let me say that chocolate cream with bananas was superbly good, I could of licked the plate afterwards. If you like bananas at all, I recommend getting this!

Service- 100/100

Yup, 100% good. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and fast about getting us stuff, even when busy. You could see the owner walking around, talking and helping out. One of our dishes was sent out wrong and he was super quick to get it fixed, fussing over us. It was great.

Cleanliness- 99/100

Didnt see anything amiss. Everything looks clean and fresh.

Price- 97/100

Normal prices for this type of place. Total price of our meal was actually lower then I thought it would be.

Overall- This place was really great. I would come here again any day.
